No, but I am one of the people who would reattach your arms. Have you ever played with exploding flying chainsaw frisbees? I don't think so. You can't know how you'd handle it until you actually face one.

Yeah, I personally wouldn't give anyone anything that explodes. But that's just me.
A monster deflecting app would be a good idea. But it would also mean that our parents would have to care. That's the thing about gods. Sometimes they get so wrapped up in their own lives that they forget about smaller things. It took a war and an unbreakable oath to get them to actually claim all their children. Instead of having them pop up like weeds and fend for themselves.
That and the greek gods were petty and kind of forgetful.
